During the Cannes Film Festival 2026, Cannes Exhibitions coordinated the complete technical setup of a privatized yacht moored steps from the Palais des Festivals for a professional audiovisual sector client. This boat, selected and coordinated in partnership with Cannes Yachts Booking, was optimized according to the client’s specific needs and transformed into a floating professional workspace, hosting strategic meetings, media interviews and business appointments in an exceptional setting facing the Croisette. Cannes Exhibitions coordinated all technical aspects: installation of broadcast-ready audiovisual equipment for professional interview capture, sound system adapted to maritime environment, professional lighting for filming in optimal conditions, high-speed secured WiFi networks for content transmission, modular meeting spaces arranged with professional furniture and autonomous energy solutions guaranteeing continuous equipment operation throughout the entire Cannes Film Festival 2026. The major advantage of this fitted yacht resided in its strategic position in immediate proximity to the Palais des Festivals, enabling professionals to easily alternate between official screenings and boat appointments without wasting time in Cannes travel.
The technical setup of a yacht for the Cannes Film Festival 2026 required specific expertise mastering maritime environment constraints: electronic equipment protected against salt humidity, stabilized technical installations compensating boat movements, secured and discreet cabling preserving space aesthetics and high-performance air conditioning systems for sensitive equipment generating significant heat. Cannes Exhibitions also anticipated Cannes’ capricious weather, as famous as the festival itself, by creating an open-air space protected by elegant modular structures enabling enjoyment of panoramic sea views and natural light while guaranteeing technical equipment protection and participant comfort even in case of wind, rain or strong Mediterranean heat. This ability to transform a yacht into a perfectly functional professional space regardless of weather conditions enabled the client to maintain their complete program of meetings and interviews during the festival without any cancellations due to Cannes climate whims.

This technical yacht moored facing the Palais des Festivals illustrates the synergy between Cannes Exhibitions and Cannes Yachts Booking to propose optimized maritime workspace solutions during the Cannes Film Festival 2026, going beyond traditional reception formats to meet film professionals’ specific operational needs. Fitting a boat as an interview studio and floating meeting room requires in-depth understanding of maritime technical constraints, perfect coordination with specialized service providers and rigorous anticipation of logistics challenges specific to water installations. This achievement demonstrates how an experienced local event agency can transform any space, even a moving yacht, into a perfectly functional professional environment meeting the most demanding technical standards of the audiovisual sector. The boat’s strategic position steps from the Palais des Festivals constituted a major competitive advantage for the client, optimizing their teams’ and guests’ movements during these twelve intense Cannes Festival days where every minute counts in agendas overloaded with screenings, appointments and commercial negotiations.

During the Cannes Film Festival 2026, Cannes Exhibitions orchestrated the complete privatization of the Mondrian hotel gardens on the Croisette for a client wishing to organize a professional networking event in a convivial and relaxed spirit. The convivial spirit sought by the client was preserved through a format favoring free circulation with glass in hand, while maintaining the high quality standards expected during the festival.

The Mondrian gardens privatization by Cannes Exhibitions required complex logistics coordination to create this impression of convivial spontaneity while guaranteeing flawless professional execution: negotiation of exclusive outdoor space privatization with the establishment, selection of a gourmet food truck adapted to demanding international clientele and respecting festival standards, coordination of technical installations in the green space without distorting the exceptional natural setting, circulation flow management to maintain a relaxed atmosphere without overcrowding and anticipation of weather constraints with backup solutions enabling maintaining the informal spirit even in case of bad weather. The spectacular natural backdrop of the Mondrian gardens with its panoramic view of the Lérins Islands enabled minimizing added decoration needs, the Mediterranean environment naturally imposing itself as an enhancing setting for this professional event in a relaxed spirit during the Cannes Film Festival 2026.
This Mondrian gardens privatization perfectly illustrates Cannes Exhibitions’ ability to create professional events combining informal spirit and rigorous organization, meeting expectations of clients wishing to differentiate from more formal traditional receptions during the Cannes Film Festival 2026. The convivial format with gourmet food truck and circulating finger foods promotes organic encounters and authentic conversations about films, creating a memorable experience that stands out from classic cocktails or seated dinners. The exclusive space privatization guarantees privacy and exclusivity for the client’s guests while preserving the desired relaxed atmosphere. The expertise of a local event agency like Cannes Exhibitions remains essential to orchestrate these exceptional space privatizations during the festival, mastering negotiations with prestigious establishments, coordinating the multiple necessary service providers and creating the subtle balance between invisible professionalism and apparent conviviality that makes these differentiating events successful on the Croisette during the Cannes Film Festival.

Cannes Film Festival 2026: Park Chan-wook to lead jury, accreditations open since February
The 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2026 marks a historic milestone with the appointment of South Korean director Park Chan-wook as jury president. This represents the first time a Korean filmmaker has presided over the Cannes jury in the festival’s 79-year history. Park Chan-wook, acclaimed director of cult films Oldboy (Grand Prix 2004), Thirst (Jury Prize 2009) and Decision to Leave (Best Director 2022), succeeds French actress Juliette Binoche. He will present the 2026 Palme d’Or on Saturday, May 23 on the stage of the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière at the Palais des Festivals.
Accreditations for the Cannes Film Festival 2026 officially opened on February 2 through the festival’s online portal. Film industry professionals, journalists and cinephiles can now submit accreditation requests until April 15, 2026 (standard deadline). The Film Market (Marché du Film), running May 12-20 alongside the festival, also offers accreditations for audiovisual industry professionals. Important note: starting April 1, a late accreditation procedure will be implemented with processing fees of €224 including tax and environmental contribution. Companies planning to organize professional events during the Cannes Film Festival 2026 must secure reservations immediately, as demand significantly exceeds available capacity on the Croisette during this strategic period.
In his official statement, Park Chan-wook emphasized the symbolic importance of cinematic gathering: “In this age of mutual hatred and division, I believe that the simple act of gathering in a theater to watch a single film together, our breaths and heartbeats aligning, is itself a moving and universal expression of solidarity.” This appointment highlights the prominence of South Korean cinema at Cannes, particularly following Bong Joon-ho’s historic triumph with Parasite (Palme d’Or 2019). Festival President Iris Knobloch and Director Thierry Frémaux praised “Park Chan-wook’s inventiveness, visual mastery, and penchant for capturing the multiple impulses of women and men with strange destinies,” adding that his presence celebrates “the cinema of a country deeply engaged with the questioning of our time.” The official competition selection will be unveiled mid-April 2026.

NEWS MARCH 2026
